• 🗳️ Your Voice in Our Schools:
  The San Ysidro School Board establishes district policy, adopts the budget, oversees the superintendent, and represents the community’s priorities. Martín will continue ensuring that parents, educators, and students have a meaningful voice in the decisions affecting our schools.

• 🎓 A Diverse and Talented Student Community:
  San Ysidro serves approximately 4,500 students across seven elementary and middle-school campuses, along with preschool and child-development programs. Our students represent families from many cultures and speak 32 different languages, making bilingual and culturally responsive leadership essential.

• 🏆 Award-Winning Educational Programs:
  The district has earned two consecutive California Golden Bell Awards. Its award-winning English learner program helped 517 students become fluent in English in three years, while its community-schools model brings together more than 40 partners to support students and families.

• 🤝 Supporting Every Child:
  During the 2024–25 school year, 904 San Ysidro students—approximately one in five—experienced homelessness or housing instability. Martín brings direct experience creating homelessness-intervention programs and will continue strengthening services that help vulnerable students arrive at school ready to learn.

As San Ysidro School Board Clerk, Martín Arias has helped deliver a balanced budget, restore district reserves, and support programs receiving statewide recognition. He is running to continue that progress—strengthening academic achievement, protecting classroom resources, expanding family engagement, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
