Martín Arias Fights for Taxpayers Every Day
As your Taxpayer Advocate in the County Assessor's Office, I have helped thousands of taxpayers lower their property taxes and assisted in increasing tax exemptions for more than 20,000 disabled veterans, resulting in $35 million in tax savings for veterans and their families.
Martín Arias Delivered Direct Homeless Services
As the Director of Prevention and Intervention at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, I created and produced 19 Homeless Court Resource Fairs over a four-year period, which have helped over 2,000 community members obtain shelter.
We also provided vital documents, including driver's licenses and birth certificates, thereby removing resource barriers.
The program has been such a great success that it's now being held monthly throughout the County, all year long, helping thousands more people get back on their feet.

I serve as an elected member of the San Ysidro School Board, the Border View YMCA Board of Directors, and as President of the Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center, where I foster opportunities and support systems that empower students and families alike.
